What is the difference between mobile banking (mBanking) and Online Banking?

Online Banking is the primary way to manage your mobile or online interface. Mobile banking will allow you to complete many functions such as transferring funds, checking balances, depositing checks, paying and managing bills and locating an ATM. Online Banking has those features and many others.

Do you charge a fee for mobile banking (mBanking)?

No, we do not charge a fee for using mBanking (mobile banking). However your mobile service provider may charge you to use the Internet and receive SMS alert messages. Please refer to your mobile service plan for more information.

What information do I need to register for mobile banking (mBanking)?

No need to register for mBanking, simply use your username or account number and password that you use for Online Banking.

Which mobile devices are supported for mobile banking (mBanking)?

mBanking (mobile banking) provides an app that supports iPhone, Android, iPad, Android Tablet, and Kindle Fire. We also provide a reduced web site for banking on all other phones.

What can I do in mobile banking (mBanking)?

mBanking (mobile banking) makes managing your Deere Employees Credit Union accounts easy. • Check account balances • View recent account activity • Transfer funds between accounts and other members • Manage your bills wherever you are with Bill Payment • Create budgets and track expenses with Money Manager • Deposit a check into your account with eDeposit • Search for ATM and Branch locations

How do I locate an ATM using mobile banking (mBanking)?

Access the ATM/branch locator from the main menu. The application has two options to search. You may use your current location, provide a location or look up one of your contacts and you will be provided with a list of available ATMs or branches in the vicinity.

How can I deposit checks without going to a branch or ATM?

In mobile banking (mBanking) can I find a telephone number or address for a local branch?

Yes, visit our mobile web site by selecting the DECU logo in the bottom left hand corner of the mobile banking (mBanking) app. You may also use the Find ATM/Branch feature to locate a branch near you.

How do I change my mobile banking (mBanking) password or ID?

Your mobile banking login information is tied to your online banking account. To change your password, login to Online Banking and click the Black gear wheel  located at the top right of the page. The Contact Info Menu  appears.  Select Change Password and follow the onscreen instructions.

Is mobile banking (mBanking) secure?

mBanking (mobile banking) is just as secure as Online Banking. It uses all the same security features, such as password security and multi-factor authentication. Additionally, mBanking is encrypted using the Wireless Transport Layer Security (WTLS) protocol, which provides the highest level of security available today.

Do check images show in mobile banking (mBanking)?

Yes, check images are able to be viewed within mBanking (mobile banking). A check image can be accessed by selecting “Checking” from your list of accounts. Locate the transaction to view and click on the thumbnail. The image will appear on the screen.

Will funds transferred between accounts via mobile banking (mBanking) be credited the same day?

Transfers in mBanking (mobile banking) are processed in real-time and take effect whenever a transfer is completed.

Can I access Online Bill Payment from mobile banking (mBanking)?

Yes you can! Once logged in to mBanking, tap on Bill Payment on the main menu. You can schedule payments and see pending payments and recent payments – whether you set them up online or through mobile banking.

What accounts can I view in mobile banking (mBanking)?

You can view checking, savings, credit cards and loans in mBanking (mobile banking).

Can I pay my VISA bill from mobile banking (mBanking)?

Yes, from the mbanking app, select Transfer Funds, then My Accounts.  Select which account you want the funds taken from.  Then select “To: choose where you want the money transferred to, such as your Visa card.  Then the amount to be transferred.  You may add a comment to the payment .  To submit the Payment, select “Done” in the upper right corner and then “Confirm”

How do I transfer money using mobile banking (mBanking)?

mBanking makes it easy to transfer funds and manage your Credit Union account. Select Transfer Funds from the main menu. Follow the onscreen prompts to transfer money.

Can I see pending transactions in mobile banking (mBanking)?

Yes, you are able to view pending transactions on your checking account by clicking on the “pending” button on the menu. Credit Card pending transactions are currently not available.

How can I search for transactions in mobile banking (mBanking)?

You can enter free-form text in the search box at the top of the screen. The search box will search the current month of displayed transactions.

Do the balances displayed in mobile banking (mBanking) take in to account recent debit card activity or payments?

Yes, the Available Balance on an account reflects pending activity including debit card activity.

How do I get the mobile banking (mBanking) app?

The mBanking application can be downloaded by visiting the iTunes or Google Play app stores.
